At MyHomes, we have developed a unique booking system that ensures everyone has a fair chance of getting the stays they want, and at the same time ensures that the homes are not running empty.

The booking system – how it works

Based on the fundamental principle that it must be fair, intuitive and manageable, we have developed a unique booking system that ensures easy access to the homes, when it suits you. Take a tour of our booking system here.

THE POINT SYSTEM

You and the other MyHomes families will receive a personal login to a user page at MyHomes. When you are logged in, you can find information about everything related to your five homes and, of course, make your online bookings for the homes.

As a co-owner, you will receive 20 points each year, which you use to book your homes. You can always see how many points you have used and how many you have left with which you can book your accommodation in the booking system. The price of a booking depends on the season and the home you wish to book. All details are clearly visible in the booking system, which follows a simple division into four levels:

  • Top season – 4 points
  • High season – 3 points
  • Regular season – 2 points
  • Low season – 1 point

The system means that it is simple to manage and, at the same time, very user-friendly. You can book a maximum of 20 weeks if you choose the off-season and five weeks, if you only want the absolute top seasons. The points are allocated in bundles so that everyone has a fair chance of getting the weeks, they have prioritised.

ENOUGH WEEKS TO MEET THE HOLIDAY REQUIREMENT

Based on thousands of bookings, we can see that getting the number of weeks, you want, is never a problem, and you can almost always meet your highest priorities. More specifically, 93% of MyHomes owners say they have been able to get the weeks, they were looking for. As soon as you share with others you are, logically, dependent on others wishes but there is a large selection of weeks to choose from and for the vast majority of families an average of nine weeks is sufficient to meet the annual holiday requirement.

In the event that another family has booked a home for a week that you want, you can sign up for the waiting list at any time. This means that you will automatically receive a message if the home is available for the desired week. This ensures one of our basic principles that the homes are not left unnecessarily empty.

You can easily book several weeks in a row, and giving away weeks is allowed when you want to delight friends and family.
